Cadets arrived at RAF Cottesmore at around 1400. At 1430 a convoy of vehicles went out onto the runway for the pull to take place...
The course was set out at 80 meters, and to begin the proceedings Melton Squadron pulled the Harrier, in a respectable (exact number)time.
Corporal Daniel Shepherd, 17, from Melton squadron, said: "It
was pretty hard work getting the thing moving.
"It was good fun but it has taken a fair bit out of me, because us lot at the
back had the toughest job.
"I'm really proud of the team. We did well to do it. It only felt like we were
pulling for about 30 seconds."
Rutland then took to pull and pulled in a followed by Stamford Squadron. After the timed pulls everyone took to the rope, including the Commander of RAF Cottesmore.
